On Tuesday we took a bus then the underground into the magical city of Vienna. After exiting at Volkstheater we wandered past the Parliament buildings, which unfortunately is mostly hidden due to a huge renovation project. This is a magnificent building so its a shame not to be able to see it in all its glory!
We spent the afternoon wandering the streets and coming across many Christkindlmarkts along the way and ending up at the amazing St Stephen's Cathedral in Stephansplatz. Here are a few photographs. For more don't forget to head to Instagram via the link on the home page!
A big Christmas market in the city. We saw on the news in NZ before we left, when they opened this market and turned on all the lights. There is also a big ice skating venue here for the winter.
Strawberries covered in loads of warm chocolate sauce.
