Granada, Spain: 17 - 20 February 2020

Camping Alto de Viñuelas, near Granada, Spain

Lovely location with terraced sites. Bit tricky to get caravan in to some of them though. We moved sites to this one when the previous people left, as it was a slightly nicer outlook.
Outskirts of Granada - naranja (orange) trees growing everywhere in this country. These are simply lining a residential street.

Walking down to the city of Granada from Alhambra

Beautiful river running through the city.

A beer and bravas at La Fontana Andalusian bar beside the river.

Entertainment while we drink and eat!

Just chilling!

Very relaxed!

A funny thing happened on our drive to Alhambra on the 19th. We started to see some tractors coming along the roads to get on the motorway. It then became apparent that they were protesting against the poor prices they are getting for their grapes/olives/mandarins etc. They are in fact losing money on every kg they sell!

747 tractors brought the centre of Granada to a standstill along with much of the A-44 highway around Granada. When we returned from Alhambra around 4pm, the motorways were still blocked. We avoided it all as thankfully there was an alternative route to our camp ground!  Some photos follow.

Rock formation that we can see from our campground.
