Millau Viaduct: 28 January 2020

This had been on Brad's bucket list for some years and finally he got to see it. Believe it or not it was only about 20 minutes from the Roquefort Cheese Caves! An amazing piece of engineering!

The Millau Viaduct is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the gorge valley of the Tarn near Millau in Southern France, and was designed by English architect Norman Foster.

Formally opened in December 2004 it only took three years to complete and as of November 2018 was the tallest bridge in the world with a structural height of 336.4 metres.  The longest span is 342 metres and the deck height is 270 metres from the valley floor.

Not quite the highest point, but not far off. Pretty high!

I took a photograph of the video image of the bridge at night time.
