Science Museum and Hemisferic (IMAX), Valencia, Spain - 12 February 2020

12 February we visited the Science Museum and Hemisferic. The drive was 10 minutes from Camping Coll Vert (the same as for Oceanografic), and parking was 7 for the day. You just have to visit one of the shops, show them your entrance ticket, and they'll give you another parking ticket that makes it €7 instead of the normal parking rate.

The Hemispheric is the IMAX theatre and designed to look like an eyeball. I've found a picture online (below) of what it looks like at night time without the Hemisferic lit up, to show you.

This is the Opera House - Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia - located very close to the Hemisferic.

L'Agora

L'Àgora is a multifunctional covered space designed by Santiago Calatrava. The building has a height of 80 m and occupies 5,000 m² of elliptic space.

All of these buildings are located in the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències complex.  This area all used to be the Rio Turia river running through Valencia. It used to flood the city regularly and after the great flood of 1957 they decided they would diverted it. Now, all 9km and 110ha of it now makes up the Turia Garden.
