Bristol Docks and Severn Beach and Bridge: 26 May 2020

Today was a leisurely 35km drive to Bristol to walk around the docks then on to Severn Beach to see the Prince of Wales Bridge (Second Severn Bridge) and one of the Harry Potter Filming locations.

Bristol Docks

We parked near the marina and wandered along the canal then stopped for a picnic lunch. Crossing at the Prince Street Bridge we continued on past Thelka, (a floating restaurant), before heading back to the car via the Millennium Square.

Millennium Square

M Shed (a museum) and electric crane.

Believe it or not, those are all padlocks on the bridge. They were the whole way along and on both sides!

Prince of Wales Bridge

This is the Prince of Wales Bridge, also known as the Second Severn Bridge.  It was completed in 1996 and is also one of the filming locations in the Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows - Part 2 movie.

This is the area the filming took place, underneath the bridge around the grassy area to the left (above and below).
