Meet Orville! Orville came to us only a few hours old. He/she is a domesticated duckling, however his/her Mummy laid her egg with the wild duck eggs in the enclosure they live in. As a result she didn't sit on her egg, the wild duck Mummy sat on them all. When the ducklings hatched, the wild duck Mummy knew Orville wasn't hers so she abandoned it. The real Mummy duck also abandoned it as she thought it was a wild duckling. Super cute!
Orville likes to be around people all the time. He/she will follow us and just plop him/herself down when near, and sit. Orville is also very good and cleaning him/herself and pecking at anything shiny!
