On Sunday 10 May, Boris Johnson, England's Prime Minister, announced the beginning of easing lock down in England!!
From today (Wednesday 13 May) onward, until further notice, we are able to drive to a destination in England for leisure. The distance we can travel is not limited, so long as we adhere to social distancing rules.

This historic 1939 telegraph post is a relic of the telephone service between the Barrage Balloon flight site and observation point at the Observatory to the Barrage Balloon Headquarters at the Grand Spa Hotel (now Avon Gorge Hotel) during WWII.
Note the date etched on the post below.
Barrage balloons randomly dotted around at a height of 10,00 feet (any higher meant that they would be difficult to handle and would need longer and heavier cables) would keep bombers high enough to educed their accuracy, and to force them into zones where anti-aircraft guns and fighters could locate them.
Locations August 1940: 32 balloons at Avonmouth, 24 at Filton, 40 at Bristol (nearest Sion Hill Lookout point, Observatory, Downs, docks).
