Orville is one week old today (30 May) and almost twice the size he/she was when we got him. He/she is now very strong and fast.
We are unsure yet if Orville is a girl or boy, however we are fairly sure he is a 'runner' duck, which means they run more than waddle.
In other news, the alpaca were shorn on Thursday. Alfie (white), the dominant one, was up first. He wasn't at all happy about it. I didn't actually photograph or video him, as it wasn't pleasant to watch. He just squealed and spat the entire time. Ben (brown) on the other hand, was much more settled. They'll certainly be much cooler now!
