Berkeley to Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England: 25 July 2020

Well, what a journey! Today is the day that we left Chris and Charmyn's amazing hospitality, support, friendship and all the animals.  Today we drive, with our caravan in tow for the first time since we arrived in the UK on 17 March, to the Cambridge Camping and Caravan Club site for 11 nights.

When Brad called Chris from France, prior to lock down, he asked if we could stay a few weeks with them, just until things got a bit better! Who ever would have thought that few weeks would turn into four months due to the global Coronavirus pandemic!

The world has changed forever due to Covid-19.  In England, it is now compulsory to wear a face covering in all shops and on all public transport.  Many things are still closed, but things are slowly starting to return to a 'new normal'.

While here we will finally catch up with family and friends in Braintree and nearby, visit Bletchley Park, an English country house and estate that became the principal centre for allied code-breaking during the second world war. We will also visit Duxford Imperial War Museum and, (weather permitting) watch an air display where the historic P-51 Mustangs, high performance racers and a Spitfire N3200 take to the sky.

  1. What is on the ground where your van is parked? Looks like bark.
