London - Day 3: Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Leadenhall Market, Barbican, St Paul's Cathedral, Fleet St, Millennium Bridge - 6 July 2020

Today began with a walk through Hays Galleria which was very quiet.  Past the HMS Belfast towards Tower Bridge and then over the bridge to the Tower of London, with no one around!  Crazy!

We had a picnic lunch near the Tower of London before walking to Gartmore (above Fenchurch Street Station) where Brad worked prior to leaving London.  A photograph outside The Crutched Friar, Brad's old local was required (sadly it was closed), before continuing on to Leadenhall Markets which is where Harry Potter's The Philosophers Stone was used to film the front of The Leaky Caldron.

After this, we wandered along the streets past the 'Gherkin' and the Lloyds building then on to 1 New Street, which is where Amanda worked at Jonathan Wren before moving office to the corner of Moorgate and London Wall.

A visit to Liverpool Street Station was next.  We used to journey into here from Braintree each day when we first arrived in England and started working.  It was extremely quiet, as with most other parts of London due to Covid-19.

Following here it was time for a visit to the pub, so we popped into The Globe which is opposite Jonathan Wren's second location, the corner of Moorgate and London Wall.  A stroll through the Barbican was next before passing by parts of the old London Wall to St Paul's Cathedral.

It was time for refreshments again, this time at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street.  Afterwards a stroll back down by St Paul's to the Millennium Bridge and back to our hotel at London Bridge.

A lovely day with very few people around.  I do miss the normally vibrant feel that London offers, however its nicer as a tourist to get around without the crowds!
