London - Day 5: Underground, Harrods, Knightsbridge, Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace, Hyde Park - 8 July 2020

Today was the first day we used the underground. It is compulsory to wear face masks while using public transport, so we donned our masks and headed to London Bridge station to get the Jubilee Line to Green Park, then changed for the Piccadilly Line to Knightsbridge.

Harrods was on the agenda first up today!  We were totally blown away by how quiet it was here. Unbelievably quiet!!  We wandered through the toy area then on to technology section before going to the lower ground floor for the gift shop where the boys bought a couple of souvenirs.

After a couple of hours at Harrods, we took a stroll in the drizzle to the edge of Hyde Park and had some lunch.  A walk past the Royal Albert Hall and the Albert monument was next, before heading into Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and on to Kensington Palace.  There were several birthday messages to Princess Diana at the gate to Kensington Palace, who would have been 59 on 1 July.

Following this a wander past the Serpentine, back to Knightsbridge Station to get the Tube back to London Bridge.
